An hour or so north of Atlanta is a haven of Americana unlike any other. “Old Car City USA,” near the town of White, operated as a junk yard for 80 years. Several years ago, its owner decided to remake it into an outdoor museum of sorts. Nature is transforming much of the collection into what might be described as art. In addition to the 4,200 vehicles strewn among the trees and along six miles of trails, surprises lurk around every corner. Here are some images from a recent visit.
